Programs
RFWA offers a range of life-changing programs that help get the lives of people with a mental illness back on track. RFWA recovery workers are flexible and creative and have a solid understanding of the clinical manifestations of mental health problems. They also recognise and are committed to the values of non-institutional and community based rehabilitation programs that focus on mental health recovery.
RFWA’s recovery programs include:
Long Term Accommodation The program at Bassendean provides an available home indefinitely in permanent/long-term accommodation. This is a community-based home-like environment for people with high support needs and with severe and persistent mental illness. The expectation is that they may be able to progress to more independent living arrangements. This is a 24-hour service staffed 7 days a week.

Intermediate Care Accommodation Programs are run at East Fremantle and Queens Park for those of you coming from public Mental Health Services who require support to two years to overcome non-acute clinical and disability impairment associated with mental illness. This program is staffed 7 days a week. Download the brochure.
Respite Crisis Accommodation Services at Westminster provide short-term accommodation for people in need of respite, or who are in an emergency or crisis situation that is social and or non-clinical, requiring persistent mental illness with complex support needs that cannot currently be met in the wider community. This is 24-hour service operating 7 days a week. The aim of the program is to provide a safe and stable home-style environment to individuals who:
· are in a situational or social crisis;
· are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless;
· require respite after a period of living by themselves in the community; or
· want to allow their carers a break from their caring role.

Transitional Living
The Transitional Living Programs are being delivered at Anzac Terrace (Bassendean) and Hilton. They are designed to lead to successful integration into the community, by preparing you for independent living and reducing your reliance on our support. Staff also assist residents to develop practical living skills that enable them to manage independently upon exit form the program. By encouraging you to form supportive relationships that work for you with people important to you in your life, you can avoid the potential problems of isolation as you leave our service. The programs provide full time accommodation and aim to provide a safe, stable and home-style environment in a community setting. Staff at these two sites provide 37.5 hours of support per week.
