Vicki Taylor - Chairperson (Board member since June 2015)
Vicki is a successful businesswoman with over 25 years’ experience as a Director of private companies and superannuation funds. She has substantial experience across property investment, development and management, and a thorough understanding of family business growth, diversification and restructurings. Vicki is passionate about mental health issues, having been a carer for over 20 years of a family member suffering with mental distress. She has also had extensive involvement in community organisations and sporting groups. Vicki has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UWA, a Certificate in Export Competence from Monash University, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Vicki sits on the Richmond Wellbeing Corporate Governance Committee and Finance Committee.
Dr Catherine Pattenden - Vice Chairperson (Board member since 2012)
Dr Catherine Pattenden joined the Board in January 2012. She is social scientist specialising in corporate social responsibility and engagement practice and is currently Principal of AliCat Social Performance Consulting. Prior to this she spent six years with The University of Queensland’s Centre for Social Responsibility in Mining (CSRM) where she was a Senior Research Fellow, a position she continues to hold in an honorary capacity. Catherine has over 20 years experience in the mining and social performance sectors. Catherine holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Western Australia. Catherine is a member of the Richmond Wellbeing Corporate Governance Committee.
Paul O'Farrell - Chairperson of Corporate Governance Committee (Board member since June 2015)
Paul O'Farrell is a chartered accountant and risk management professional with over 25 years international experience in the corporate recovery and banking industries. His specific areas of expertise include impaired asset management, credit risk management, corporate recovery insolvency and enterprise risk management. Paul gained his experience at Coopers & Lybrand, PricewaterhouseCoopers and National Australia Bank in Ireland, Australia, South Korea and the USA. Paul holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Limerick, is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors course. Paul is a member of the Richmond Wellbeing Finance Committee.
Joydeep Choudhury - Chairperson of Finance Committee (Board Member since June 2015)
Joydeep is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in advising organization's on business, finance and taxation affairs. He brings with him extensive corporate , non-for-profit and government sector finance and governence skills. Joydeep has served on various boards and committees, including Southern Country Health Governing Council, Chair of WA Country Health Service Audit & Risk Committee and a member of the Katanning Health Serivce. Joydeep holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Curtin University, is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia, a Chartered Tax Adviser with the Tax Insitute and a Graduate of the Australian Institue of Company Directors.
Peter Carden (Board member since 2004)
A qualified Accountant who for many years controlled a Merredin based Accounting Practice; Peter brings strong business and financial prowess to Richmond Wellbeing. His skill-set is based in all areas of fundraising, asset management and governance, and he is a past Board Member of Merredin Hospital. Peter is a member of the Richmond Wellbeing Finance Committee.
Eric Baines (Board member since 2009)
Eric worked for many years in Human Resource Management, along with General Management roles, and has held senior management and Executive level positions within a number of private and government organisations, both within WA and nationally. He excels in the management of change, organisation development, communication and consultation, and has significant experience in the strategic direction of organisations across all levels of business and operations. Eric is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Eric sits on the Richmond Wellbeing Finance Committee.
Gehann Perera (Board member since 2010)
Gehann is a lawyer and partner of Minter Ellison, specialising in real estate and finance law. He holds degrees in economics and law. He has previously sat on the boards of a number of other community-based organisations, and he was a founding board member of Street Law Centre WA Incorporated. Gehann is a member of the Richmond Wellbeing Corporate Governance Committee.
Gayle Craft (Board member since 2015)
Gayle moved to WA from Queensland ten years ago and has also lived in New South Wales, South Australia and the Northern Territory. She has a diverse career history, from managing a resort in the Whitsundays to managing customer service for Department of Commerce (Consumer Protection) and resolving complaints and managing projects for the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board. She has been a member of the Richmond Wellbeing Consumer and Family Reference Group for the past 3 years and is a member of the Richmond Wellbeing Corporate Governance Committee.
